The wind is strong for a hundred years, and dragon takes off again. On the eve of the centennial birthday of the Communist Party of China, more than 400 graduates from our college are about to leave the campus for a long voyage, carrying their fruitful gains. On June 22 afternoon, the 2021 Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony of the College of Civil Engineering was held in the conference room of Sixian Building, Yingxi Campus. Zhou Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Dong Xiaoqiang, Deputy Dean (presiding over the work) and Director of the School Branch Committee, Deputy Secretary Lu Qian, Deputy Dean Ge Xinsheng, and Deputy Dean Du Zhenyu. Head of Department Center, Party Branch Secretary, and Teacher Representative, counselors and all graduates of 2021 participated. The ceremony was presided over by Lu Qian.

The graduation ceremony kicked off with the inspiring national anthem of the People's Republic of China. Afterwards, Zhou Wei announced the list of 2021 outstanding graduats of the College of Civil Engineering and presented awards to them. Ge Xinsheng informed the employment situation of our 2021 graduates. Du Zhenyu announced the results of the 2021 undergraduate graduation project (thesis) selection.

Next, Yang Jie, an undergraduate representative of the 1703 class of civil engineering, spoke on behalf of the undergraduate graduates. She recalled the four years of study life in university with fondness, lamented that time has passed by, and said goodbye to the campus full of memories, and expressed her best wishes to teachers, parents and classmates with gratitude. Li Zhaohan, from 2018 master class, delivered a speech on behalf of the master graduates. From the growth of scientific research to the deep affection for the college, he expressed the courage and persistence of every civil student to make progress and pursue excellence. Finally, Dr. Qiu Bin, grade 17, recalled the gains and ups and downs of his ten-year civil engineering study experience, expressing his most passionate feelings for his alma mater and major, wining bursts of applause from the scene. The teacher representative, Associate Professor He Bin, congratulated the graduates on behalf of all the teachers from the college, exhorted students to always have a humble and prudent attitude to study and a sense of gratitude to serve the country, to bravely and firmly set foot on the road of life.

Afterwards, Professor Dong Xiaoqiang gave a graduation speech to all the graduates. First of all, he commend the diligence and innovative spirit of the current graduates, and hope that the majority of graduates should always uphold the motto of "earth inherits the world, wood supports the sky", look up at the stars, stay down-to-earth, and show the pattern in continuous struggle, staying determined in success or failure. Always remembering the experience of studying in the College of Civil Engineering, letting go of youthful ideals, building a beautiful country, and finally realizing the value of life. Lastly, the graduation ceremony ended up with the loud and clear university song. Dong Xiaoqiang plucked the spikes, awarded degrees and took a group photo for each graduate.
