On December 30, 2021, our college held 2021 Student Work Summary Commendation and Study Style Construction Promotion Meeting in the conference room on the fifth floor of Building A of Erudite Hall. The meeting was presided over by Qiu Shaorong, secretary of the Youth League Committee, and attended by the Party and government leaders of the college as well as all counselors and student representatives.
Lu Qian, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered the student work report in 2021 where she systematically reviewed the achievements of this year's student work from the aspects of Party history study and education, epidemic prevention and control and safety education, scientific and technological innovation, network ideology and politics, and the "San Ge YI Qian" project, and looked forward to the next year's work. Ge Xinsheng, Vice Dean, read out the commendation decision of advanced collectives and individuals, and the leaders of the academy award prizes to the winning individuals and individuals. Then, Zhang Zijian in Class 1901 in Road and Bridge major and Hu Ruiwei in Class 2002 of Civil Engineering major spoke on behalf of the winning students. They shared their experience and growth process, showing the excellent quality and vigor of civil engineering students who are diligent and studious and calling on students to study hard and live up to their youth with full enthusiasm and high morale.
Moreover, Dean Dong Xiaoqiang made arrangements for the construction of academic atmosphere. He explained the connotation and significance of the construction of style of study in detail from the aspects of strengthening the style of study with activities, correcting the style of study with rewards and punishments, promoting the style of study with dormitory atmosphere, establishing the style of study with class atmosphere, and emphasizing the style of study with models, and put forward the specific requests for the next step work. He pointed out that our school attaches great importance to the construction of the style of study, and actively promotes the normalization, standardization and institutionalization of the style of study, hoping that students can enhance self-restraint and hard-working consciousness, create a good environment of the style of study, work hard and become talented as soon as possible.
Zhou Wei, party secretary of the college, made a speech, in which, he stated that under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Party Committee of the College has made remarkable progress in all aspects of work by adhering to the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating talents, and steadily promoting the collaborative education of "Party Construction Leading", scientific and technological innovation and "San Ge Yi Qian" quality improvement project. Then, he proposed two requirements: First, our students need to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, and make solid efforts to study the history of the Party for understanding the truth, increasing their confidence, and upholding morality, so as to turn their beliefs, and ideals into a driving force; Second, they should study hard and believe in themselves, enhance their skills, and strive to become capable of carrying heavy burdens.
At the time of in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the 2021 Student Work Summary Commendation and Study Style Construction Promotion Meeting can play a positive role in strengthening the ideological and political guidance of students and forming a good learning and growth atmosphere. The students of our college will take the Meeting as an opportunity to take advanced collectives and individuals as examples, firm their ideals and beliefs, and set up lofty aspirations, thereby contributing to the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and to the celebration of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 120th birthday of our university.
